Bell Tower Appeal!

A live Nativity, despite the flooded roads...

On Friday 20 December we were treated to the most wonderful Barn Service organised by Rev John Tyler.

The full story was narrated by both John and the Rev Deborah Kirk.   Lights appeared on animals and angels.  Children dressed as shepherds and angels.  Even a real live baby Jesus Christened in the Church a week previously.  Mother and Father of course played Mary and Joseph.  Donkey Titch [Piers] played his role very well and was given carrot and dog biscuit treats by the angels and shepherds!

A huge thank you to Dick Brewer for making the Barn available, such a magic setting.  Also to the many folk, approximately 50, who came and joined in the Message.  Floods were no barrier.

Vicar

North Curry is without a resident vicar, meaning it is currently in an Interregnum. During this period Mary Piers (01823 491434) will be the person to contact regarding church matters, but there is still access to a vicar should you need one.  athelneyvicar@gmail.com, whilst still active, will be monitored on behalf of the benefice by Jane White, the Churchwarden for Stoke St Gregory. In case of query, her number is 01823 490508.
